Who needs an EPC?
All properties require an energy performance certificate or EPC when selling or renting. An EPC gives owners, tenants and potential buyers an assessment of a property's performance, in terms of energy efficiency and environmental impact, to help reduce CO 2 production.
An EPC evaluates a building by assigning it a standard energy efficiency and carbon emission rating from 'A' to 'G', where 'A' is the best and the average to date is D / E.
