What is the Electrical PAT test?
PAT Testing is the term used to describe the testing process of all portable electrical devices within a workplace. Most electrical appliances require a combined visual test and inspection every 12 months, but may vary depending on usage.
The tests should only be performed by a competent evaluator. When the Electrical PAT test is performed, some defects are immediately obvious with only a visual inspection, but most are only found when testing with specialized equipment.
