What is an EPC certificate?
Energy Performance Certificates record the energy performance of a property, assigning ratings from A (more efficient) to G (less efficient). These certificates are required each time a property is built, sold or rented, and they are valid for 10 years. A low rate EPC must be presented to prospective buyers before selling a property. Otherwise, it could result in a fine of between £ 500 and £ 5,000 depending on the taxable value of your building.
What does a Low Rate EPC certificate imply:
An Energy Performance Certificate contains information on the energy use of a property and typical energy costs, as well as recommendations on how to improve the energy performance of the property and save money.
EPC London allows prospective buyers or renters to compare the energy performance rating of a property with that of other properties in the market so that they can include the cost of energy in their investment. For more info click here
